Vitamin Water and What Manufacturers Don’t Want You to Know

Vitamin Water and What Manufacturers Don't Want You to KnowNot too long ago people began noticing that there was a problem with their city’s drinking supply. Soon after, a health scare surfaced and many people panicked. Realizing that a profit could be made from their fears, bottling companies began to offer a safer alternative direct from Mother Nature’s finest springs for a price. Then they realized an even bigger profit could be made, thus vitamin water was born.

So without a doubt, consumers flocked towards this new health drink because everyone knows that in order to stay healthy we need vitamins. But what we’re assuming is the ultimate health aid could actually be causing more harm than good.

That’s because manufacturers didn’t just add vitamins to their so-called bottled health drink. If you take a look at the ingredients label on that bottle you’ll also find sugar. And in case you haven’t already noticed, people prefer flavor over bland. So in order to make an idea enticing, manufacturers know that they have to give us a treat.

Vitamin Water and What Manufacturers Don't Want You to KnowIn our eyes we see that as a great solution to keeping us happy while keeping our bodies healthy. In reality the manufacturers see it as great way to fool us into buying their product while they’re laughing all the way to the bank. They know that sugar is addictive and they know we’ll continue to come back for more.

But there are dangerous consequences to our bad habits. Sugar can actually raise our blood sugar levels, which can lead to diabetes, depression, panic attacks, mood swings, and obesity.

And if you think you’re not consuming enough of the stuff to really be a concern, think again! On average we consume at least 21 tablespoons of sugar per a day without even realizing it. Sugar is hidden is almost everything we consume and drink!

So before you grab another bottle of your favorite vitamin water, consider the consequences and ask yourself if it’s really worth it. If you don’t, you may find your healthy efforts were all for nothing and that would be an unfortunate thing.
